Nicole McClain is Back . . .

I know, I know, it's been awhile. Forgive me. I appreciate all of you consistently checking back and requesting more updates.

Here is a sneak peak of what is to come. Police approached us twice to warn that we'd better finish soon as we were making a scene with the passers-by. Making a scene? Nah . . . All right, well, maybe a little (good thing they weren't around for the comic book action shots).

My Memoirs of a Geisha: The Latest Photoshoot



Hair pinned and pulled, face painted and powdered, I slipped into a 38-year-old Vietnamese pure silk gown originally crafted and worn by a real Vietnamse woman.

While Geisha women are Japanese, rather than Vietnamese, we wanted to capture the essence of the Geisha women. "Gei" means arts or performance in Japanese. "Sha" means people. Geisha are professional hostesses who entertain guests through various performing arts. Geisha girls and women are not ordinary hostesses and are not prostitutes. Geisha girls and women are trained in a number of traditional skills; Japanese ancient dance, singing, playing a three stringed instrument called shamisen, flower arrangement, wearing a kimono, tea ceremony, calligraphy, conversation, alcohol serving manners, and more. Geisha girls and women are talented Japanese women who patiently go through extensive training.

Young girls who wish to become a geisha girl are usually introduced to an o-chaya through someone who has a connection to the teahouse. The head woman of an o-chaya, called okami, interviews the girl with her parents, explaining how the training goes. If the okami accepts the girl as an apprentice to her o-chaya, the girl can begin her training immediately and live in the o-chaya if she has graduated from a middle school. Once a girl becomes a geisha trainee, she can't quit for 5 to 6 years. While helping with the chores and errands of the house, the young girl learns customs and social skills and begins music and dance lessons.

In honor of my birthday, I thought I would post a few old time photos from years back.

I wonder what ever happened to this sofa and the blanket. No worries, the stuffed animals are still in a safe place.


Remember the days of Safety Town? I think the "teacher" next to me was wearing a Steven Tyler tour shirt from 1984. Note, I was minus the blonde fashion statement.


Gosh, even then I was a rough kid with broken bones. At least there is a photo reference of when exactly the tom-boyish nature may have begun. Back then, I was the girl with the broken arm like a boy and sandals on like a girl. Today, I'm the girl wearing black heels with waders and a bow in the backseat of my TransAm.

Bikini Bike Wash Update!



Just like I said, there were bikes, babes, and beer, but that's not all . . .

Bikini Bike Wash at Sidetracks Cafe

Come visit me at Sidetracks Cafe in Lakewood for the Annual Bikini Bike Wash! Bring your Ninjas, Kawasakis and Harleys between 12 - 4 pm. For $10.00, I'll wash and dry that pretty bike of yours.

Rumor has it last year some of the girls decided to wash cars for some very generous $$$ and even some kids, yes kids, brought their tyke bikes and wallets for a wash!

Biker owned and bike friendly, Sidetracks is located at 13429 Lakewood Heights Boulevard in Lakewood. Take I-90 East to Warren/Bunts, take Bunts (140th) left one block to Lakewood Hts Blvd, turn right and Sidetracks Cafe is on the right just before the RTA station.

Nicole McClain Holds the Ace Card

This is Paul's first attempt at the 'Ace of Diamonds' postcard. "I realize it hides most of Nicole/Kerry's face (and we certainly don't want that)," Paul says, "but I wanted to try the 'looking through the bullet hole' effect. The next one will be closer to the original photograph so we can punch a hole where the bullet hole is. Somehow I want to fit her six-gun into the picture and her forelock here kinda looks like a 'Snidely Whiplash' mustache this time around."
