Household names of places we can never forget -- for all of the wrong reasons.
According to Wikipedia, an active shooter is defined as "... an armed person who has used deadly physical force on other persons and continues to do so while having unrestricted access to additional victims." The definition includes so-called "school shootings" and "snipers," and have caused a paradigm shift in law enforcement training and tactics. Active shooters rarely expect to escape or even survive these situations.
During the on-film pursuit, police officers and SWAT moved through unsecured areas, bypassing the dead, wounded and panicked citizens, to approach and contain the perpetrators. On the set of Active Shooter, with portions filmed at the University of Edinboro in Pennsylvania, here's my interview with host Maija Preddy on the last day of filming.
